About This Site

This is the personal web site of Colin F. Beaven. Writings, documents, technical white papers, photo galleries, and other stuff can be found here. This site is best viewed at 1024x768 or larger. This web site was designed and created using Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium including the individual products of Dreamweaver CS4, Bridge CS4, Acrobat 9 Pro and Photoshop CS4. Efforts have been made to perform basic testing of the site on:

Portions of this site are photo/graphics intensive. It is recommended to have at least a 1mbps download speed when viewing this site.

Known Issues:

The last few letters of each line of the picture description text under the photos in the galleries gets truncated sometimes on the right edge of the browser. I don’t know how to correct this at this time, but you should be able to figure out the word that is truncated if it happens.
The primary font looks slightly different in Internet Explorer 8 and different in a different way on Safari. I don’t know why this is.
Google Chrome crashes sometimes when opening a gallery and moving to another web page quickly or closing out the gallery quickly. I'm assuming this has something to do with the flash plug-in, or maybe because Chrome is still a relatively new browser.
